Developer Booming Tech recently launched the eighth season for its tactical action MMO Conqueror’s Blade. The new season, Dynasty, ushers in a new golden age of warfare inspired by ancient Chinese history. Dynasty brings new units, a wide and expansive map to play on, and a new playable weapon class. Players worldwide were already introduced to the upcoming season’s theme with a cinematic trailer released last week, along with a more in-depth look at its features in a newly released feature trailer.
The Inspiration Behind the New Historical Experience
Dynasty is inspired by the cosmopolitan golden age of China’s Tang Dynasty. Players will follow the rise of the fictional but very mighty Qian Dynasty in a series of campaign missions while exploring and traveling to a new location, Longting, which is inspired by East Asia. The new city of Hao Jing allows players to meet under peaceful circumstances, acting almost like a hub. Along with its historical background, many of the season’s units and new mechanics take inspiration from ancient Chinese history.
Three new seasonal units, all inspired by classic military archetypes of Chinese history, can be unlocked. These units comprise of the Cudgel Monks, peaceful protectors that only use their powerful martial arts when there’s no other way; the Greyhair Garrison, weathered siege veterans; and the Madao Battalion, a powerful vanguard unit to break open the enemy lines. Via the Unit Tree, the Shenji Grenadiers can also be unlocked as a 5-star unit. As war-filled units fill the main experience from Dynasty, the Pike, the 12th weapon class to be added to Conqueror’s Blade, brings a new playstyle for players to tinker with. This new thrusting weapon can be used for long-reaching attacks to dictate the terms of engagement and find the perfect combination to dispatch opponents.
What Players Can Look Forward to With This New Expansion
The new season entices players to keep playing Conqueror’s Blade through a new era in history many games don’t explore, with authentic units and mechanics to help fill and keep the experience at a constant pace within its new large-scale map. Players can expect a fairly strong historical experience out of it all. Conqueror’s Blade features integral and strategic gameplay to keep players on their toes on the battlefield. Past expansions have helped provide ample content for players, with Dynasty adding onto what many previous seasons have built upon. Season eight provides this newly released field of war to give players a taste of ancient military history unlike any other across many wide-scale PVP and PVE battles.
